There was something incredibly special about this wedding at The Carriage House. From the moment the day began, the love that filled this place was indescribable. It was the kind of wedding day that made it easy to slow down and appreciate all of the little moments happening around us.
One thing they don't tell you when being a wedding photographer is even though you may not be nervous, you can't expect anyone else to feel the same way. You can be fifty to one hundred weddings in and the parents, family, and friends of the bride and groom all have that last minute anxiety. Everyone played a role in the wedding and it was obvious that their family wanted to help every step of the way.
I especially loved capturing Isabella and Quinten outdoors. In the my many times I've photographed at The Carriage House I seem to have this "luck" that I get a beautiful overcast when shooting by the white double doors.
One spot that always sticks out to me is the red doors... I love them! I believe I specifically love them because of how vibrant they are on an all white building. The walkways with the grass to the sides leading up to the wooden porch is a fantastic transition to the chapel.

The best way I can describe The Carriage House is a rustic and natural venue. Everything feels like a breath of fresh air.
If you're planning your wedding at The Carriage House in Conroe, there are a few things I'd keep in mind when building your photography timeline. I found that the venue gives couples a great mix of outdoor portraits and indoor celebration, so taking advantage of both can make for a really well-rounded gallery. You can spend plenty of time taking photos in front and inside of the chapel. Along with that you can have beautiful photos taken in front of the white double doors, outdoor ceremony stage, trees / greenery, an old truck, and more! I also love the fact that this venue is weather friendly.
We all know that Houston can get just a little bit hot... The Carriage House has you covered with an indoor reception and chapel area. Having a summer wedding? I recommend having the family portraits done inside of the chapel and saving the last thirty minutes for couples portraits. That way your family can be comfortable then head on over to the reception hall for cocktail hour.
